Position: Manager, Sales and Billing

 

Position Summary:

 

The Manager, Sales and Billing will be accountable for the achievement of the departmental sales objectives and overall SLAs for a team of approximately 40 agents.  In this role you would be responsible for understanding and implementing best practices that lead to successful sales achievements in a call center centric environment. You would be responsible for identifying, implementing, managing and maintaining best practices, and implementing measurable improvements in our call center sales and revenues. The Manager’s success is measured by the ability to identify opportunities to improve sales and revenue and execute the programs operationally by creating plans and tactics to attack sales challenges and promote a sales culture within the department.

 

The incumbent will be one who is collaborative, engaging, and works well within a multi-functional team environment; and who is able to consistently deliver strong sales and operational results and contribute to MindGeek’s strategy in support of the business objectives. Ideally, the selected candidate will possess a University degree, be analytical, have a strong business acumen, and proven experience in process improvement from creation to execution of the plan.

 

As such, this position will be responsible for:

 

  • Owning the development of our resource pipeline, and drive a high performing and engaged culture to create a competitive advantage for MindGeek in support of our customers.
  • Partner with your peer Managers to continue our journey towards best-in-class customer experience and quality, workforce availability, efficiency and SLA achievement.
  • Help drive MindGeek’s commitment to operational excellence and agent performance development:
    • Customer escalations; troubleshooting; coaching; course development and facilitation; ongoing support to our agents.
    • Build and lead a high performing team to deliver both operational excellence and sales objectives.
  • Build strong team engagement by creating a sales driven culture that is underpinned by recognition and coaching.
  • Develop, own and exceed all quality and other performance metrics that will drive sales and revenue.
  • Provide sales expertise and guidance to team members and staff to foster and enhance sales skills.
  • Stay current on all related industry best practices relating to Sales.

 

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Sound analytical skills with the proven ability to leverage these skills in support of business decisions and business case development.
  • Excellent communication skills – the ability to clearly explain plans, expectations and strategy to your frontline teams and managers, as well as to your peers or to Senior Management.
  • A proven ability to work within and lead teams in a constructive, co-operative and respectful manner.
  • A bias for action – the ability to not only plan and delegate, but to lead and/or take the initiative to ensure that actions and projects are on track.
  • A demonstrated track record of mentoring and developing talent to achieve next-level performance and take on leadership responsibilities both within their respective peer groups and in other teams.
  • Bilingual, French and English.

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or equivalent education.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience managing a large team in a customer centric environment related to service, sales, production or service delivery.

As a Database Architect, you will be responsible for providing 24x7 production support for our databases. You will participate in production support and implementation of databases, design and tune critical high volume databases, and contribute to database infrastructure enhancements.

In this position you will: 

  • Provide expertise and guidance in the development and design of databases, stored procedures and query design to help ensure optimal performance, scalability and reliability of application databases.

Basic Function:

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Quality Control (QC) of heat level of all final deliveries to maintain broadcast standards & practices
  • QC of all deliverables to maintain technical broadcast delivery standards
  • QC reporting and administrative file-keeping required
  • Provide feedback to post production on QC infractions and issues
  • Viewing of material and editorial feedback on European standards (eg; OFCOM) required

Requirements:   

  • A minimum of 1 year experience working QC, Media Operations, Post Production, or Asset Management for the television and/or film industry.

As team leader, the focus of this position is to ensure that all monetary targets, projects and daily tasks are completed in a timely manner and done with the highest standard of quality.  Answering to the TrafficJunky Product Manager and the Director of Sales as well as helping the team is a key role of the team lead.  This team is comprised of sales and support representatives.  Training, coaching and answering the reps’ questions are some of the most common tasks encountered in this position.

 

Sales & Support

  • Check Mindgeek, TrafficJunky emails & Skype messages and prioritize based on importance
  • Delegate sales & support emails to team
  • Check daily revenues & traffic.  If anything appears out of ordinary, investigate.  Provide a reason and/or solution depending on scenario
  • Sales team uses Salesforce to keep track of their leads/clients, need to check up on their productivity; see if some clients need more attention
  • Business Dev team will send a weekly report on new clients, decreasing/increasing spending clients. Make sure the team performs necessary actions and provides help to these specific users
  • Helping sales reps find new sources of advertisers / help existing ones to increase their spending
  • Check pending ads several times per day to ensure the amount is decreasing
  • Provide support to the team when other team members are away or if they require help
  • Forecasting the revenues for our unsold traffic.  This is supplied to the product manager and the director of sales each week.  Once the month is over, supply the finished report

 

Technical

  • Use JIRA to report technical issues: bugs, new features, etc
  • Before making a request, run it by management to ensure it’s not already reported and so they can deem its urgency.
  • Follow up on issues should you not see progress on the issue’s resolution

 

Mainstream Business

  • Communicate with the client or agency and build an advertising package which best suits their needs based on their preferences, budget and request. 
  • Keep close watch on the campaign’s statistics to ensure they’re being delivered correctly

 

Business Conventions

  • Set up meetings prior to convention
  • Book meetings/lunch/dinner while at show
  • Try to get as much business at the show: new leads or potential advertisers to get them to begin advertising with us / get current advertisers to increase their spending
  • Follow-ups should begin ASAP; all follow ups after a show must be reported in Salesforce in an effort to evaluate the value of the show and to keep track of leads, opportunities and accounts

 

Performance Reviews

  • Perform evaluations twice per year for the sales/support team
